For Africans building a career or business in America.
Inno Africa Hub is a community and cohort for African immigrants in the US who are building careers or a business. Join a small group that holds you accountable.
Our founding cohort is intentionally small. We read every application ourselves.
This is for you if
- You're an African immigrant or first-generation African American professional in the US
- You are building a career or a business
- Or you're building a product or side venture around a full-time job
- You've already looked for a room like this and haven't found one built for you
The room you need doesn't exist yet
Most African professionals in the US are stuck choosing between generic career advice that skips their story, or a startup hub built for someone still living on the continent.
Generic career coaching
Doesn't account for your visa status, your accent, or the specific story you're navigating.
Hubs built for the continent
Every program we found assumes you're living and building in Africa, not balancing a US job from here.
Career and product treated as separate
Most programs pick one. You may be doing both at once, and need people who get that.
What changes when you join
A small peer group that holds you accountable
A pod of people moving on the same timeline as you, not a channel with a thousand strangers in it.
A structured, fully remote program
Career track or product track, with a clear weekly rhythm you can follow from anywhere in the US.
A plan you actually finish
You leave with a plan, a network, and momentum, not just another group chat that goes quiet.
How it works
No app to learn, no giant course library. Just a structure that keeps you moving.
Apply and tell us where you're stuck
Building a career, pushing for a promotion, or trying to move a product forward. We ask what's actually going on, not just for your resume.
Get matched
Matched within your track by someone who has navigated a similar path in the US.
Move through the cohort with your pod
Weekly check-ins, mentor sessions, and a curriculum built around your track, until you leave with a plan and a network.
What we know works, and what we're building to prove
Structured mentorship and small peer groups are not a new idea. Innovation hubs across Africa have run this model for years, pairing founders and professionals with mentors and peer networks so they aren't building alone. That part is proven.
What hasn't been built yet is a version of that room designed for African professionals living in the US, balancing a US job, a US career path, and a background that most programs around them don't share. That's what our founding cohort exists to test, with a small, intentionally limited group of members before we open it wider.
Personally reviewed applications
Every application is read by us directly, not filtered by an algorithm.
A deliberately small first group
Small on purpose, so mentorship and accountability actually work instead of feeling diluted.
Honest about being early
We're new. Founding members help shape what the program becomes, and get a say in it.
Questions people ask before applying
Is this an equity accelerator?
No. This is a membership community and cohort. We never take a stake in anything you build.
Do I need to be in a specific city?
No. We're starting in Austin, Texas and expanding globally, and the program runs fully remote, so it works wherever you are in the US.
What if I'm not sure which track fits me?
Tell us what's actually going on when you apply. We'll help you figure out whether the career track or the product track fits, or if it's a bit of both.
How much does it cost?
This program is free for our founding cohort.
What if I don't get in this round?
We're keeping the founding cohort small on purpose. If it's full, we'll tell you directly and let you know when the next one opens.
Will the program change after I join?
It might, since we're early and learning fast. We'll always tell founding members directly before anything changes.
